Muzzle-Loaders.com

We have just received a large shipment of the Remington 700 LSS Ultimate Muzzleloaders! These guns are not Northwest legal in the general muzzleloader seasons, but we do have customers that purchase them for rifle seasons, or to take to other states.

Follow the link below for more information, or call us at 855-236-5000.

I looked at these in the past.  The model I found had a tiny hole in the bolt above the cap.  I was told by the dealer that made it legal in Washington since the cap was "exposed" to the elements.  Do the new models have that same hole?

Thank you for asking. These guns are not legal in the Northwest due to the fact that they use a rifle primer, instead of a musket or percussion cap. You may have been looking at the previous model of the Remington Muzzleloader, which had a different firing system, but I am not sure about the legality of that gun in Washington.

Just curious, do these have a hinged floor plate? The pics sure look like it does. What purpose does that serve if so?

The old style Remington 700ML were legal in Washington.

The hinged floor plate has a pocket for holding additional primed casings. If you click the link below, you'll see the image on the sidebar, which shows the storage for the casings. I think that Remington did this to use as many components from the 700 centerfire rifles and keep the costs in check.

With the recent changes in rules regarding ignition  systems, would the new model rem 700 ultimate ML's be WA legal?  I believe they use a Rem 9.5 rifle primer but I could be wrong.  Any input on this would be greatly appreciated!
