I finally made it out this evening. Grabbed my old single shot .410, thought "why not?" My dog put up a pair of ruffs right infront of me, thought "that's why not!" Only flush we got this hunt, but it was still a great time!

Yeah, I think it's a Sears and Roebuck. It has "Ranger" stamped on the barrel and that's it, no serial number. This old cowboy gave it to me several years back when I was working on his house.

Love them, I'm shooting 497 grains at 240fps. It broke my elks leg on the offside pass through with a heart shot this year. It was like I hit her with the hammer of thor. These are the best arrows as far as consistency I have ever shot. But not to thread jack, keep up on the great grouse hunting :IBCOOL:. Love me some tasty forest chickens :drool:
