Well I am an avid turkey hunter and want to change it up a bit next year. I usually use my O/U with factory full choke or my bow for turkeys but just bought a new shotgun. I got a 3 1/2 in. semi and was wondering if anybody has any input on some dedicated turkey choke/shell combos. I'm eyeballing the patternmaster code black choke but at $100 cannot justify it yet but as the season comes closer I may. I want to try a few this winter and see what I like. Also looking at the primos jelleyhead and heard pretty good things of the truglo. Also looking at a new hi viz screw in front sight something I can also use for upland or duck. Just looking for any input.
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the input I have always used 4's on turkeys but this year used some mixed shot 4 5 and 6 shot size. What kinda range does the 6's give you? Im kinda looking for a long range combo. In years past I have always tried to call them in as close as possible but with the rediculous bird #'s anymore I find myself stalking flocks and picking the biggest toms I can find so I want some more range. The claims on some of these chokes are 70 yards.
Thanks again!

They showed good patterns at 60 yards on Winchester pattern board app but the girls Turkey's were decoyed and called into 25 yrds for first one then 10yrds for the other

Carlsons chokes are good from what I have heard and my wife loves hers in her Mossberg 500 with Remington 4x6 shot. The Jellyhead is good I used one in my 835 a couple years then switched back to my factory choke.
What shotgun did you buy??
