Title: Moose shed
Post by: HuntinCrazy on June 02, 2017, 11:33:45 AM
While hiking my property up near Chesaw looking for sheds I came across this :IBCOOL: My first moose shed ever! After 2 1/2 hrs of searching for the other side i gave up but did find a couple whitetail sheds. All 3 only right sides  :bash: :bash:

I'll be back  :chuckle:

Yep.  Points closest to the bases point out front, become paddles.  That's a left side moose antler.

what moose area? when do moose drop? any tips for finding moose sheds? do these apply everywhere that you find shiras moose? i apply for moose tags, what is the best unit, i will go rifle and muzzle loader only? What is the average size of a bull in Washington, can i expect a 40 inch bull, I've heard that that is a big shiras, i've heard of 50 inchers, can you find them in Washington?
