I'm going on a late season bear hunt/ scout for late season archery for elk and deer on sat. I've never been to the area but would appreciate any pointers I can get. Tomorrow after work I'm going to do some e-scouting and try to plan out my trip so I can gain as much knowledge of the area as I can. I don't road hunt, not my style and I enjoy the solitude. I don't have any passes or permission's as I don't want to pay to play. PROTECT OUR PUBLIC LANDS. I'm hoping this unit holds decent animals. If anyone is willing to give some helpful hints? Tips? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm in no way looking for honey holes. I have no issue learning for myself, just not sure if I should be investing time in another area.

Saw quiet a few modern rifle elk guys on sat. Heard a shot. Hope someone's got a freezer full of meat. Found some things that peaked my interest. Seems I need to learn a bunch about clear cuts. Found a gate with video camera sign to public land? Maybe my onx maps boundary off? Gate CB10 if I read that correctly. Definitely need to go back and investigate further.
