I don't have any problem doing anything on the site with my iPhone.
What happens when you try to post?

Do you have anything constructive to say? :chuckle:

:yeah:
Are you using it fullsite view? I do without issue.

My guess is he is trying to post pictures from his iPhone. Only way to do it is to take a screenshot of the photo on your phone and then post the screenshot. Still a pain, but it’s the only work-around I know of.

I have always been able to post pics from my iphone without issue and without any workarounds.
Having said that, @Rainier10 said he couldn't post a pic from his phone either yesterday. Maybe I should try it as I haven't recently.

I haven’t been able to for over a year. I thought it was a known issue, so I never said anything else. :chuckle: Just tried it again on this thread to verify, and my post wouldn’t go thru. It just takes me to this.

Is that a picture that was actually taken with your iPhone?
-
Blank white screen = pic to big.

Rainier10 here, the ruggedly handsome fella in that photo. Yes he did take the photo with his iphone.
Since I did an update on my iPhone7 plus about 6 months ago,( no idea what that iOs was but now I am up to 11. something) anyways to post photos now I have to screen shot the photo on my phone and upload that screenshot image. My guess is the new update on the phone gave me a better picture quality and it is to big of a file using the original photo. The screen shot is a lower quality and that is why it allows me to post the photo of a screen shot.

Yes. Originally taken with my phone and posted from my phone.

I'm fully updated as well. No issue.

That file is too big. That's why it's white screening on you.

@Antlershed Curious to see what your camera settings are at in your phone.
Settings ---> Camera ---> Formats
Are you set to "High Efficiency" or "Most Compatible"??

I don’t see that setting. Which iPhone do you have?
-
From the settings page I have to scroll down to camera, not hit general, if I scroll to camera then I get that screen.

Settings >> Camera looks like this. iPhone 6s+

Weird. 7 is apparently different. Same screen here.
Is your software up to date?

Really I don't know if that's the difference that makes photos work for me or not. Usually I use Tapatalk on my phone but that Rainier10 pic I posted from the normal safari browser.

Appears that’s the ticket
It's a pain but its the only way I can make it work so far.

So 3 of us attempted to post the same photo.
Huntnphool's phone posted it fine.
Rainier10 couldn't get it to post.
My phone posted it sideways.
All iPhones, but 3 different models.

This makes me believe it's something with the phone and not the forum. Really I have no clue.

Even more bizarre maybe is that the screenshot that he can post is almost the same dimensions as the one he can't post. I thought for sure it was a size thing.

Let’s try this one.

size doesn’t matter. :chuckle:

Won’t post unless I screenshot it.

iOS 11.2.5

What the heck? Stupid iPhone 7plus. :bash:
Looks like I either have to screenshot my photos or send them to Rob. Don't upgrade that phone Rob. :chuckle:

I don’t get it. :dunno:

I’ve not done the latest update, I’m still on 11.1.2, maybe that’s it? :dunno:

If it makes you feel any more in the now, Rick and I are both using the same phones and the same software version. He can't get pictures to post at all and mine posts the same picture sideways.

That’s what I have, of course with the current version software.

Exactly, we both have the new version, 11.2.5. I can't post at all unless I screenshot the pic. If I just try to post the pic I get a white screen. If I text it to Rob or Josh, Rob can post it no issues, Josh posts it and it is sideways.

@Rainer10 is your iCloud camera option on?

Lots of people having this type problem. :dunno:

The one that I was just able to post is one that I sent to Rob, he sent to his email, in sending it it asks if he wants to resize which he did and then sent it on. He sent the resized version back to me and I was able to post it.
The original photo is 3.7MB and that seems to be the problem. I am assuming when I do a screenshot it is sizing it smaller than 3.7MB
-
Is it sideways though?

:dunno: can you test photos of some eye candy at least? Give the rest of us something to stare at during this train wreck. :chuckle:

Just for you Plat.
-
I'm sure his photos are too large, this post and photo is from my Kyocera phone.
-
That photo is a large one too, I am using google chrome on my cell phone. Maybe the problem is browser related? Can we pin it down to a specific browser or phone type?
-
Photos post best if no larger than 800 x 600 pixels. In case you are not sure how to resize photos:
Resizing On Computer
If you are on a computer make a copy of the photo you want to resize so you don’t resize the original, next use “Microsoft Office Picture Manager” to resize the copied photo.
Resizing On Phone
On a phone go to google play store and download “Image Resizer”. It works very easy and stores the newly resized photos in a “resized photos” file separate from the original photo which is not harmed.

why yes it is now that you mention it. Rotated 90 degrees counterclockwise. Is that what yours was doing too?
-
bringing back the eye candy just for plat.

Rick and I have identical phones running the same software version yielding different results from posting the same photo that he took. We’ve ironed that much out.
-
Humm.... just tried to post a pic of some sheds and got the white screen as well.

Well my Screen shot posted ok.
-
Well my Screen shot posted ok.
Right, but we shouldn't need to screenshot images in order to post them.
Clearly it's a file size issue, we just need to figure out the best/easiest way to accomplish it.

Posted with my phone, photo taken with camera on phone.

I have no problem with laptop or phone. The tech I usually get (Matthew) has not replied back, I'm trying to locate someone else, I put in a ticket to Liroy asking for help.

But I wonder if by texting it back and forth, it is getting resized/compressed in the process?

Right. I was wondering the same thing.
