Title: A New Hobby
Post by: Naches Sportsman on January 26, 2019, 08:53:41 PM
After doing a few ride alongs with IDFG and going out with a few darn good trappers and wolf trappers, I've decided to take up a new expensive hobby :chuckle:.

My buddy and I recieved permission for 1000 acres of farm land for killing coyotes and will probably be knocking on more doors here in a few weeks.

We have a serious coyote problem in the area I work out of, so I am planning on going all out once I am back for the season to see if I can't better the fawn survival in the area. Coyotes killed a lot of them last year.

Next winter, I plan on going after a few beaver, martin, and bobcats when I have time.

After talking with a few government trappers and really good wolf trappers, I've decided not to even think about trapping wolves anytime soon until I get good at trapping due to the fact that the wolves in the Clearwater Region (probably all of idaho) are smartening way up due to the increase of newbies educating them.

I'll report some progress in May once I have a lot of time to get to trapping some coyotes .
