I have a spare upper laying around that I'd like to make it into a varmint rifle. I'm thinking .223 Wylde but which one? There are dozens of options. Any suggestions on a reasonably priced, accurate barrel?

We put together a few from Bear Creek Arsenal recently..... and they are accurate by my standards.
Had one problem, returned it, they made good.

Good to know, thanks. BCA is about the cheapest I've seen anywhere.

I've built and sold probably 40+ with blackhole barrels. Never a complaint and super accurate. I have just put together a few big bore guns with Wilson barrels and they have been great as well.

I've had a few black hole very good barrels
A few midway barrels there all right
Bear creek are good also just bought a ar10 upper and have seen really good results for the price point.
Kinda like the old school rifleing with bear creek, but with any rifle barrel your gonna find the best performance from a handful of bullets with different loads.

+1 on the Black Hole; used one for my only ar build. It was a 6.5 Grendel and with 123 Hornadys I shot my only 1 hole 5 shot group.

I really like faxon. and if I were going for range I really like the 18" variety.

What barrel length are you looking to get?

Les Baer is probably more know for their 1911's, but I've got a 6.5 Grendel with one of their barrels - very impressed with its accuracy.
