Might as well start it now. Post some pics of your 2019 bear harvests.

GOT TAG#1 FILLED OPENING DAY....
-
Punched my first tag Saturday at 6:30am. My son loved the hunt, but was no help on the pack out, haha
-
Great job! Both on a nice bear and getting your son out to share the experience with you!
-
:yeah:
-
Got one yesterday
nice job josh!
-
First tag filled last night. Small boar eating in a patch of berries. now it’s time to be more selective and look for a big one to fill my second tag with.
-
Called in to about 15 yards. Took just over 20 minutes.
-
Took my boys out Saturday morning and they put 2 on the ground. We saw 3 in 3 hrs! Definitely no shortage of animals
-
My Saskatchewan Bear
-
Wow that’s quite the melon on that guy!
-
There have been a few bears taken out there. Some are pretty small but things should be picking up with the latest wet weather prediction.
-
I shot this sow yesterday evening. Shot her off a log at 200 yards, heard 6 death moans with-in seconds. Spent 2 hours searching down hill of the log she was on in brush over my head, Crowinghen and I on our hands and knees searching for blood or any sign, nothing.A little frustrated Crowinghen climbed back up to where we started and found blood on the up hill side of the log, after about 1 minute we found her with-in 6 feet of the log, she was on the up hill side. I would have never expected her to jump towards me and up hill, I learn something new every season.
-
Good looking bears guys!

-
Shot at 32 yards first shot, last shot 8 yards. All double lung shots with a Mossberg model 464 30-30 using iron sights and 170gr federal ammo. Was all fun and games until it came time to pack out the bear :IBCOOL:

After seeing quite a few bears this year finally got one to cooperate Monday night. Sealed the deal at 50 yards, made for a long night and long pack out but was sure worth it!

Good Lord...
Is anyone keeping a Hunt-WA tally?
-
Got bear #2!
East side bears?
-
Got bear #2!
East side bears?
1 West and 1 East. It'll be cool to eliminate the high hunt dilemma of "do i blast this bear and spook the deer?" :)

I was looking forward to hunting the first 10 days of sept archery deer season with both bear tags filled already. Unfortunately my job schedule changed, and now i only get to hunt september 1st, then im off to alaska for a couple months. :bash:
-
Punched my second tag. Now onto Idaho.
-
Here’s my first contribution to the thread, hoping to fill my second tag on a big boy I’ve had on camera but haven’t hunted yet.
-

Twisp river area

My little color phase.....
-
Great color phase !
-
Stackin em up this year! Would be really interested to see a breakdown of how many east side bears, from regions that previously had a sept 1st opener, were killed in august this year. But i doubt that data will be available. And a lot of people out there still havent gotten the memo either. My taxi told me when i brought that sow in to him, that he had just talked to one of his customers thats a bear hunting fool, and here it was mid august and the guy had no idea bear was open until my taxi told him. So i bet by next august, the word will really be out, and we may see next augusts harvest out here yotal up as much as typical years get sept-nov. Just hopeful speculation.
-
Punched my second tag. Now onto Idaho.
Did you video this one? I like your vids

Yes I did. Will be up in a few days and thanks for watching.

Yes, we were slow on buying elk tags and missed the opportunity this year so I bought a reduced bear tag in Idaho to keep me busy until deer season.
-
Great job! Looking forward to watching the video
-
My 2019 chocolate bear, shot at 301 yards with a Remington 783 in 30-06.
-
Nice bears everyone! Here’s bear #1. On to #2.
-
Helped my dad get his first bear yesterday. Beautiful color phase boar.

I will be going to Idaho this weekend. Hopefully get up in elevation where the berries are still good.
-
#1 and #2
-
Cool good eats, nice work man.
-
Add the wife to the album
-
This thread sure seems to have slowed down a lot after august. I think this august opener is going to cause a big upswing in harvest rate the next couple years. Ne harvest has been dropping the last few years. I expect a significant spike in the next harvest report.
-
Dmoua: Love that post, thanks for sharing

Is there a trick to posting a photo? Tried about ten times and it won't post when there's an attachment.

Awesome. Glad to see the list still growing. Hopefully there is another uptick in successful posts as rifle seasons start to open for deer and elk
-
West side bear (Unit 460) about 2 weeks ago. Never used the all-copper rounds before, but I'm sold. Perfect expansion and weight retention. This bear literally dropped in his tracks--didn't take singe step. About 270 yards, quartering away. One of these rounds broke ribs, vaporized lungs, and broke the scapula on the far side. Second broke ribs, lungs, and broke the upper arm bone on the far side.
-
What kind of bullet? Im shooting the hornady gmx in my .308 because i get crazy tight groups, but ive yet to test it on an animal. Hoping to put one in an elk this year if im fortunate enough to get the chance.
-
My bear was the first animal I've killed with a copper bullet. Barnes TTSX, 120 GR 7MM. Hit the bear in the neck just in front of the shoulder connection. From what I can gather the bullet actually split and left 2 normal size exit holes. Lots of bloodshot meat. Dead bear.
-
I used the Barnes 7mm Remington Magnum 160 Grain TSX BT. There was shot damaged meat on the far side shoulder (after it went through ribs and lungs), but that was to be expected (at least in my humble opinion) from a quartering away shot. But no lead in the meat...I'll take it.
-
First bear down. Hit him and he barrel rolled down the rocks. First time using sgks and it performed well. Only took 1 shot, clean pass through.
-
Cool.
Rock on!!
-
