Title: Who Will Shoot The First Fall Turkey?
Post by: TheStovePipeKid on September 01, 2019, 06:06:53 PM
So who do you think will shoot the first Fall turkey? I've still got a week before my trip. I know a few members out there have turkey on their back step.

There were probably hundreds killed this morning

I arrowed a hen that was about 70 yards from my house. She's currently hanging out with citrus juice and avocado oil in the fridge

And you can buy multiple tags.  Believe you can shoot 4 birds in the fall as well as 2 in the spring?  Might be wrong on that

Yes, 4 birds in the fall.  I only had 2 tags on me so shot two birds.  Bought two more tags and will be out again for my last 2 later on.

And there is no birds around Wilbur  :chuckle: :chuckle:

My BAD, thought one must bag the 1st bird on the initial tag, then buy another after one harvest's their first bird, boy things have changed! Seeing a few in the Sage near the big lake soo there must be more, lots of poults too like the triple hatches of Quail...

No worries.  I was trying to figure out yesterday if she could get a limit if coho in the salt and then go to a river and continue fishing. Not sure how I came to that conclusion. LOL

I believe a possesion limit IS just that! This topic is about Turkey's only, the BAG limit is (4) per season Two Beardless/1 Tom/1 hen.

4 if you are just talking fall.   3 in the spring.    2 in the east one in the west.  For a total of 7 for the year.   The fall season is 2 beardless, meaning hens,  and 2 of either sex for the total of 4 for the fall season.  You can shoot 4 hens legally if you wish in the fall.
