Title: Economic Video Editing Software?
Post by: chukar hunter on October 16, 2019, 01:14:18 PM
Looking into photo and video editing software.  Main goals are to produce a youtube type quality video with a mix of video and pictures.  Overlay music, add text to both video and pics.  Adjusting volume of individual video files would also be helpful.  Let me know if anyone has any recommendations for a non-apple based computer.

Thanks!

I ran into LifusInterruptus before I could get into it, but I think I was on the same level as you when I went Sony Vegas. That was awhile ago but they've been good about keeping updated and etc.

I wish I'd had the time to spend really using it and getting some stuff produced. I've let my stepson try it, and he figured lots of tricks out really quickly.

Beyond it, and a few others like it, you're looking at stuff that goes beyond the off-the-shelf Costco computer!

For image/graphic editing, check out GIMP and Inkscape.

For video editing check out some of the open source video editors below.

I know KDEnlive gets decent reviews.
