I'm looking for some input on the best charities for fish and wildlife conservation in Washington. My company donates an amount on my behalf every year and I want it to go towards wildlife conservation in Washington. However, I don't know much about what organizations are out there and which ones have the best reputation. Anyone have any suggestions?
I've previously donated to Conservation Northwest. If there are better organizations out there that are pro-hunter let me know!

As a sportsmen I think there are many choices that are better. Washington Waterfowl Association, SCI, RMEF just to name a few.

:yeah:
I'm not sure about WWA, but with Ducks Unlimited you can specify what State and what project if you desire. My donations are going into the Channeled Scab lands by Goldendale.

WWA is a 501c3 and a Washington org.
My overarching point is that there are numerous other options that are better depending on you goal or desire.

My post is 100% biased based on my position with WWA, but I’d say WWA would love it!
You can request any donation go to a specific chapter that you’d like to see use it towards their regional goals for the year.
For instance, any donations going to the Spokane chapter would help the youth education summit we are organizing with Turnbull next year. I know the Whatcom and NW chapters are very active with habitat improvement as well.
Just a thought! :)

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation is the only one I trust to actually put donations to use rather than enriching those that run the “charity”.
As far a conservation northwest goes, if you care about hunting and the future of all wildlife, CNW is not your friend. They only fight for predators as a means to destroy hunting.

Sci and nwtf

SCI in my limited experience in this department. I don't donate tons of money, but what I do donate goes to this group.
@Bushcraft can probably expand on the specifics better than I can.

Second the NO to CNW

What's SCI?

Safari club international

Take a look at the Columbia Land trust and see if they align with your priorities.
-
Look at The Nature Conservancy as well as the Cascades Carnivore Project.
May get flamed for these two, but they do good things for wildlife and preserving hunting (TNC buying logging land and giving it to WDFW and USFS for cheap after a few years).

Thanks for the support. Despite what some on here may allege, CNW very much supports legal hunting: https://www.conservationnw.org/about-us/resources/hunting-and-conservation/ (https://www.conservationnw.org/about-us/resources/hunting-and-conservation/)
The org also coordinates many local programs that benefit hunters and game species, from wildlife crossings on I-90 and Highway 97 to pronghorn, elk and bighorn sheep habitat restoration.
