NRA-ILA ALERT email:
Washington: House Committee Passes Mag Ban & CPL Restriction Bills
On January 31st, the House Civil Rights and Judiciary Committee voted to pass bills to ban most standard capacity magazines and make it more difficult to obtain a CPL. These bills will now go to the Rules Committee awaiting being pulled to the House floor. Please contact your state Representative and ask them to OPPOSE House Bills 2240 and 1315.

House Bill 2240 ( https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=2240&Initiative=false&Year=2019 ), as passed out of committee, bans the manufacture, possession, sale, transfer, etc. of magazines that hold more than fifteen rounds of ammunition. This measure is strongly supported by the Governor and the Attorney General. These so called “high capacity” magazines are in fact standard equipment for commonly-owned firearms that many Americans legally and effectively use for an entire range of legitimate purposes, such as self-defense or competition. Those who own non-compliant magazines prior to the ban are only allowed to possess them on their own property and in other limited instances such at licensed shooting ranges or while hunting. These magazines have to be transported unloaded and locked separately from firearms and stored at home locked, making them unavailable for self-defense.
House Bill 1315 ( https://app.leg.wa.gov/billsummary?BillNumber=1315&Initiative=false&Year=2019 ) requires onerous government red tape and further training to obtain a Concealed Pistol License. Mandatory training requirements are yet another cost prohibitive measure intended to ensure that lower income Americans are barred from defending themselves.
Again, please contact your state Representative and ask them to OPPOSE House Bills 2240 and 1315.

Done
Thanks for keeping us informed
Too bad they don’t enforce current laws and understand it’s not the law abiding citizens that need restrictions on their 2nd amendment rights
-
A far as the mag ban the Supreme Court 9th circuit overturned California's ban on mag as saying that it is against the 2nd amendment. It was in the papers a couple of weeks ago. I think the reminding our representative in Olympia that they can be sued to eliminate it so why do it!

The reason our ag and gov along with their sheep pull this crap is because they know theres no way they can be held accountable for their treasonous acts..........it wont end without violence.

It will end if we vote out the anti gun Democrats.

:yeah:
Do we have a viable republican candidate for governor ?
Eymen = more Inslee
-
Sent as well, unfortunately the tide is shifting in this state. The courts may be the only viable recourse, unless people get off their ass, and vote.

You dont have to get off of it. They send you a prepaid envelope with your ballot. Take 5 minutes and fill in the little bubbles on who you are voting for and put it in an envelope. It doesn't get much easier than that.

The tide has gone......when youre in the minority, its generally reflected in the outcome from voting.

We'll continue to lose our rights because the voting block of the I-5 corridor only becomes more liberal as time advances. The only hope we have for retaining our rights is successful litigation.

You could be right. I hope it’s not our only hope. I am hoping people in red counties will get “woke” and realize that they are losing their rights and start voting. I am seeing more people getting involved in the political process. I am seeing former democrats at our Republican central committee meetings. We don’t have to get that many more conservative voters to register and send in their ballots and we can make some big changes in this state. Bill Bryant would have beat Inslee if just a small percentage more voters in red counties had voted. (Bill is a Rhino, but he is better than Inslee.) we should have had Rossi as governor. It is possible. Voter apathy is killing us.
