How many points would you put on each side based on the three photos? He is located in a 3 point min area, not that it should influence your count!

True Spike
-
doesnt branch above the ears, looks like a spike to me.
-
It qualifies as a spike if that's what you are looking for, but you can count points below the ears as antler points
-
I guess this one applies too
-
There are two answers, how many points a warden counts and how many points I would claim if someone asked me in a social setting.
-
It's a three spike.
-
I see a 2x2 if that is bone not velvet on his L side
-
Not enough to bother.
-
These kinds of elk with bad genetics is what you get in spike units that go on for years and years

I count 1 cause it’s a spike with an eye guard. No changing that.
-
would count as a true spike with an eye guard. can't count that as a legal 3 pt or better.
-
Barely a spike with milk still on his lip... Still would taste good. :chuckle:

Spike with an eye guard .
-
Well somebody from down south or back east would call it a 4 pointer bull elks. :chuckle:

True spike in my book
-
Atleast a 2x2 likely 3 countable points on its right. They are pretty liberal on what’s a point.

In my experience it is not. :chuckle:

That's a Lewis County 1 point single eyeguard.
