Title: Turkey Tails
Post by: Trapper John on January 17, 2021, 04:11:36 PM

I've been driving past this pile of Turkey Tails for a year now.
No one is taken them and people walk by them almost every day.

I grabbed a few to dry and turn them into tea.  I took the better looking ones that didn't look water logged.

Am I safe to do so?
I hear Turkey Tails is good to fight cancer and I had cancer so if I can hold it back some more I'm willing to try it

The active compounds in turkey tail (PSK or PSP) are typically taken in capsule or tea form. You shouldn’t try to source wild turkey tail mushrooms. It’s difficult to correctly identify mushrooms and some types are poisonous. Only experts are qualified to identify wild mushrooms.
If my immune system was compromised I think I would stick to the Capsules.

With photos one can make a guess at best. You should take them to someone and have them verified before consuming.
