Title: Pacific beach fishing?
Post by: scotsman on July 29, 2021, 10:02:30 PM
I’m going for my first stay at the military campground at Pacific Beach this weekend. 50+ years after I got out of Nam with service connected disability I find out I can stay at these military campgrounds… dang, a lot of wasted opportunity! Anyway, any advice for surf fishing at Pacific Beach?

Head down to the beach at low tide and look for troughs. Fish in those at low tide and incoming.

WSU said it best. Clam necks and Berkeley Gulp sandworms for bait.

I'm sure there is a better way, but we have always just bought cans of whole clams. the surf perch bites are subtle at first, until you get the feel for it
