Title: 2018 17' Jayco Jayflight For Sale
Post by: Buckhunter24 on September 21, 2022, 06:06:55 PM
Want to put this camp trailer for sale. Its in good condition for being four years old. Have used it around 15 times total, usually for a couple nights each time. I owe 13.5k and am hoping to sell for 15k. I am open to offers or advice on pricing it.

I am also open to advice on getting this thing sold. I called the dealer I bought it from and they offered me 9k. As my kids get older we just don't use the thing, one night in Ocean shores this year.

I will post pictures when i get a chance. Thanks for looking

I'd recommend getting it up on Facebook marketplace and parking it where people will see it. That seems like a great price for the price but I'm no expert.

Good and bad, Rv market is still going, but money is getting  tighter, it looks like NADA says what the dealer offered, marketplace is a good  option, and there are these RV rental places, takes your  RV and rents it out for you, helps pay the bill and  give you some  time.  You could come out with an income stream.

Dont do this, I have seen way to many trailers getting trashed. Then you owe 13k on a piece of crap.

Copy, thanks for the input. The rental sounded like a good idea to me, my wife raised the concern of damage as well though. Will get it listed this weekend on Craigslist with pictures, and will add some pictures here as well.

My trailer I bought in 2020 is going for more than I paid for it. Blue Book doesn't really matter right now in my opinion. People are looking for trailers and the dealer prices are insane. My trailer in a 2022 version is almost double the price I bought mine for...they haven't made that many upgrades to it. Put it up for what you want or maybe a few grand more...you might be very surprised...you can always give them a "Deal"  :chuckle:

Thats awesome! Yeah I just figured out its actually a 2019. The range was 11k to 19k with an avg price of 14k. I think I'll put it up Saturday at 17k and see what happens. Thanks for all the input

 :yeah:
We recently sold our 20-year-old motorhome on Facebook marketplace in 2 days. When researching what we should sell it for, Blue Book price was $15,000 to $18,000. We talked to a dealer and they were thinking $15,000. I put it on Facebook marketplace for $32,000 sold it for $31,000.

You can never negotiate the price up. Start out high and if you get no interest then start lowering the price down until
you start to get some interest in it.  :twocents:

I know a woman who rents her two RVs out through RV Share. They pay a deposit and have to provide proof of insurance covering the trailer, with a deposit in the amount of their deductible. It more than pays her storage fees and some annual maintenance.

You may want to ask a mod move this over to the classifieds.
