Just received the estimate to repair. It’s in the insurance company’s hands. Not sure what they’re gonna do with it. Time will tell whether they’ll fix it or replace it. I don’t know
Estimate
Date: 11/01/2022
Exp. Date: 12/01/2022
$17,962.50

Thanks kfhunter. I’ll leave all future updates here👍

Holy crap missed that thread completely. Glad everyone is alive.
$18k ouch. Hopefully your insurance company steps up for you.
-
Just got notice that my insurance company sent me a check for full amount minus my deductible. Waiting to receive before I have motion Marine start work

I followed the original thread - and happy all are safe.
I have no idea what the rules are.
Do you think the tug has any liability?
Again, I have no idea on the rules.
-
I do think their partially responsible. Being they didn’t blow their horn to give me fair warning. At the end of the day they do have the right away. Talking with motion Marine I have the impression my boat will be ready within four weeks🤑🤑🤑

This is crazy, I remember reading your post when you bought it. Glad all are ok and thanks for posting. It's not fun to report these things but good reminders and makes it real to see pics and someone we can relate..

Did you have hull damage? All I saw in your pics was windshield and bow rail. Not sure how that gets to $17K, but....
HEY EVERYONE, IF YOU OWN A BOAT, INSURE IT! Is a good reminder.
-
No hull damage. Replacing the trolling motor was $1850 and then the paint alone was almost 6 grand and it added up really quick at a buck and a half an hour

Wow, ridiculous $/hr....
Our insurance totaled our boat, twice (different companies), because it got wet rolling over.

Billing 54 hrs. Looking forward to getting it back👍
-
Got notice it’s at paint shop
-
moving right along,that's great

Just got the call no word still at paint. On a sidenote. I’m upgrading my Fishing system to an eye pilot link. Perfect timing because I have to Replace the trolling motor anyway. Might as well do it now and the bonus is they gave me really good money for the trolling motor replacement. Gonna run 2 gen three hummingbirds, SI mega size 7 and 8” with the ulterra80 pound si imaging. Motor should be here today. So excited to play and learn pics will follow
👍😉🥃🇺🇸

Well, I took her out today. Mainly to see how the trolling motor works and figure it out. If it went smooth, I would’ve fished a little bit for some kokanee. But it didn’t work out lol. Nothing serious just readjusting things. Some of what the shop messed with. That I didn’t notice till on the water. Good to get on the water and it floated :IBCOOL:
-
Ok just finished fixing my wiring. Had my N ground not connected correctly. Plus had to replace battery for TM :'( When I take it out Tuesday or Wednesday I’ll spend more time fishing :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: :IBCOOL: Unless Murphy’s Law strikes :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

After all that you had to go thru, have you considered getting radar installed?

you don't always plan on fog being there when it is...
