Not a smart move I don't think. Remember a few years back when law enforcement was outgunned by a couple bank robbers? :twocents:

Are you talking about the north Hollywood Bank Robert 1997 more than a few years how many sense then wake up
-
What does the Hollywood shoot out have to do with Sheriffs upholding the Constitution? Not sure I am understanding.

Is this a joke? Wish during covid lockdowns this happened. But all I can say is thank God trump got some decent supreme court justices in who ruled in constitutional fasion

So do you agree with Washington banning ARs.?
Btw.
Dang near every Leo has an AR/M4 in their cruiser now. Being outgunned would only happen if someone was running around with a saw/ technical or otherwise.

Dont think for a minute that no leo special units arent equiped with selector switches. We dont have assault weapons, thats smoke up the arse for sheep.

I wasn't aware that determining which laws were unconstitutional was one of a sheriff's duties. I always thought that was a job for hunting forums and the judicial branch of the government. :dunno:

I believe they swear to protect and uphold the constitution. That assumes that they know what the constitution says.

WA state law enforcement agencies are legally banned from deploying select fire/automatic “machine guns”. This was put into law with the 2021 police reform laws.

oh boy, sorry but that’s sounds about as far left as it can get. God bless the sheriff for not following tyranny.

Twisp River is correct. Only the Courts and HW can interpret the constitution. :chuckle: With that said, the Sheriff certainly swore to uphold the constitution but what he swore to uphold was what the judiciary says it means. Not what he thinks it means. In Washington, if a local Sheriff started drafting memos about what the constitution means and then advised his officers on what they can and cannot do that would be unauthorized practice of law, a crime. In any event it looks like it was rightfully struck down.

I’m guessing if left wing courts outlawed guns and said all your guns had to be turned in there would be a lot of lefties and a few huntwa members standing in line…. SMH. But the courts said……..
