The wife and I decided to get a shoulder mount done on her OIL Wa moose, was leaning toward a semi sneak head straight. We have a 12’ ceiling at the highest peak. Was hoping to see some examples and hear thoughts, searched the internet but looking for ideas on here.

An old friend had one that was stunning. The head was turned to the side and the outermost antler dipped slightly, with the eye wide and looking right at you.
-
Any chance he could send you a pic?

He can't. He's dead. I don't know the survivors. He had some great African mounts, too.

I was afraid you were gonna say that.

almost like this. But head turned a little more away from center.

This is what my Taxi sent me in the middle of the process. Don’t go with this one.

Awesome moose’s guys. Thanks for the pics.

And this was in our last house. The wall was 12ft Linen color portion then an 8/12 pitch from there.

Semi sneak with slight left turn.

Just like the one I was talking about.

I like her euro mount :twocents:

Just remember you need to get it into your house when done.

yeah, I can see where that could be an issue, pretty sure it will fit through the sliding glass door!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

we love her euro, this is a tough decision.

Personally, I would stick with the Euro. I'm just not into shoulder mounts of moose, it looks like they are up there smiling on the wall, like having my horse up there.

Of all my mounts…..my moose is my least favorite from a shoulder mount perspective. It is a gorgeous mount, but just hard to display and really appreciate. They really shine as a center point of a room….like above a rock fireplace. When we build our next house, the living room will be built specifically for that moose.
Only reason I would shoulder mount another, would be if my kids shoot a big one. Otherwise the euro is the way to go with moose.

It looks like I can only post two pics. So I will run this over a few comments

Close up, and both moose together
-
Here’s a couple that were shortened in the neck about 8” - fits better in room.
-
I’m biased toward the euro.
-
Lots of beautiful moose on this thread. Congrats to all the moose hunters.

Go4steelhd, our those two mounts semi sneak and full sneak? Full sneak on the right? Great mounts guys, and yeah, I really love the euro’s too.

Mine is a wall pedestal. Cant remember what brand. I would actually prefer opposite turn for where it hangs but its there.
