Hey Dave, that stink isnt the stink of an old bull, an old bull smells more like a cow pasture in a way, or should I say more like a bull that has been pissing on himself for years :chuckle: . That was a totally different stink. ;) Maybee it was the water :chuckle:
-
Nice Bull Tat, Hope I have as much good fortune.
-
:brew: thats awesome tat. way to go.
-
Congrats on an awesome hunt, and a great bull!!!! Good thing that little one came along to help too, get em started early I say.
-
You're a machine this year. Animals should fear the longtat. Steaks are on at longtats, bring the beer. That last picture(Mrs and the baby packin on the first page) is just about one of the coolest I have ever seen. Get it into the POM and I will vote for it.

Nice Job!
Saw 10 cows and a nice bull 1/2 mile from that house last night while taking a walk just standing there looking at me at 60 yrds. Too bad I have a East side tag :bash:
-
P.S. You better get all of your hunting done now. In about 5-6 years you are going to have your hands full(as a full time guide). :)
-
Excellent work. Congrats to you on a very fine trophy!

There any Salmon in the river???? Now that the elk is dead may I fish!!!!!!!!
-
Congrats on your year so far. After all the service you've put in, in the sphincter of the world, you deserve good stuff.
-
Kimber I bought 2 before deer season...big ones
300bull..were u huntig that same bull? if so theres a bigger one around!
---------------------------
Ive had some people say the stink could be adrenaline... he was pushed hard and a long way just minutes before he died... and the stink had a chemical tone to it :dunno: any thoughts?
-
I shot one that had a rancid sweet smell to the meat. He had been shot in the ass before and I wondered if it was his body fighting it. It tasted like crap. Ate a lot of tacos and fajitas.
-
Tat, No I wasn't after him. Just being a smart_ss!!!! Good work. If I get a bull down can I have your wife help me pack him out :chuckle:
-
Can your wife cook?? :chuckle:
-
nice story and pics.
-
Nice bull! Quite a lady also!
-
Can your wife cook??
Apparantly she can make a ground squirrel taste good. I just thank the lord that he has allowed Longtat to increase the quality of table fare in his house, esepcially with all those little ones.

I have gone through decent efforts to conceal the area where I killed this bull...everyone else please respect that and dont give any info that would identify it!

Well congrats on a fine bull and good work on the hollywood. I was wondering cause u shot all ur arrows and i saw a full quiver lol
-
Nice job LongTatLaw. I am stuck here at work this week and missing the whole first week of archery elk (except a couple of hours opening morning) :bash: :bash:, so I am living vicariously through you guys...
-
I was brush shooting last night, and had my arrow skip off into lala land. Took me 20 minutes to find, but I wasn't going to leave a 25 dollar broadhead and a 15 dollar arrow behind. :yike:
-
Very cool. That first pic doubles the bull's size. Well done. I'm jealous.
-

Nice bull, great story! That pic of Miranda with baby on front is priceless. What a hunting wife! My wife couldn't be more supportive also. Lot's of guys jealous of wives like we have!
-
Dave,
Just got done reading this, sounds like you have had an awesome year, congrats to you. Like already said, your bull is awesome, your awesome, but the best picture you got is the one with the wife and the lil one.
It's awesome when the entire family is involved. And you need to get that bull mounted that was your babies first assist on a bull, so make the memories last.
Joe
