And is there a "bad" tag in Idaho... :dunno:

Yes, no different then washington or any other state .. but with how idaho has been marketed people seem to think they really have sonthing on some of these generals
100% especially going in blind! There is plenty of tags guys pulled that will come for a week and not see or hear an elk or only see a handful of deer and nothing worth notching a tag on… even some of the “good ones”

Disagree. Those same guys aren't passing on a 2.5 y/o deer (maybe even 1.5)  if that is all they see; after flights, drives, $ spent....the little ones will be taken.
Depends on the hunter... It's about a 9hr drive for me to deer hunt and I'll only shoot mature deer there, same with my WA tag. I'll shoot a dink rosie with a recurve though lol...

I’m nowhere near any current , I’m in a very deep bay , I’ve been out there with a finder 112ft. Deep out there , that’s where Wally lurks, and I’m hunting him down soonly

Okay cryder,... 112 Feet Deep out there? Guess that leaves us out of luck.   :(

THanks for sharing your story.   I'm glad you had a good time even with all the extra orange around you.

With the lack of snow to push most of the ungulates and wolves down and keep people out of areas, it’s been a good winter to sit out with torn ligaments in the hand. The 330s I’ve loaned out to buddies have been catching a lot of beaver.

I haven’t cut a wolf track in months in areas they have frequented every week the last several winters.

But I hear that he has several trail cam photos of cougars in and around his traps. :chuckle:

Jingles says  :hello:  He's not run into his trouble makers this season yet!  Not much snow so far this year.
