Pepper's 1st hunt

It's not a stack of birds,  but I'm proud of her just the same.   This is Peppers 1st non training retrieve.   She's 11 months old and 50lbs.  This bird exploded up in her face.   Startled her a bit.   I did my job and dropped it.   She retrieved to hand like she's supposed to.   Only bird we got up today.   Perfect...

Wish I could say the same about my new pup 😂. He's oblivious.  Did ok with the one duck I've shot for him, but pheasants are a foreign concept to him

She is very expressive.  She's a small lab but showing a lot of heart.  She's doing good.  This was the next days hunt.  She got up a couple hens.  As you can see in the pic's she's still watching those birds closely in case they get up and try to make a run for it.  Young dogs are so much darn fun.
