Over 65

In some mule deer units

Any Buck, whitetail antherless.

Same for some youth hunts.

? :dunno:

What's your question? I looked at it and I think I see the permits you're talking about. All they did is changed it so only whitetail does are legal. Last year a mule deer doe or whitetail doe could be taken. I'm not sure why they added "any buck" because it's at the same time as general season anyway so a buck could be taken by anyone with a deer tag.

I see bear season still opens on August 1 and you can harvest two bears statewide.

Cougar says waiting for more research. I wondered if that meant you can’t hunt them right now but the quota page says most units are still open.

Until spring season is over April 30 it's 2023 late season regs and 2024 tag.  I hope to get a couple weeks in yet.

I didn't see anything new about cross-bows for old guys so I'm guessing that didn't pass.  :dunno:

Still disability qualification looks like.

orange required for bear, is this new?

Yes, but only for modern weapon.  Put the scope on the muzzleloader and knock one over.  Need to get my .58 H&R tapped.

Looks like a new Elk area, in Stevens county, 1021.  Thats majority private farm ground around there.  The area isnt even updated on their mapping system yet, or at least that I can figure out.
Right wing shooter, I aim for the left!!!

Nowhere in your incoherent rambling did you come close to what can be considered a rational thought. Everyone is now dumber having heard it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yeah I saw all those and the Stevens Co. was interesting for sure.  Looks to me like a late-season depredation opportunity to keep the elk off the farm fields when food is scarce.  They had a similar hunt in Whatcom Co on this side when Muzzy and archery ran into January/February a few years back but have since stopped.

From WDFW site: "Director Susewind accepted all of the rule change proposals recommended by WDFW staff except for a proposal that would have permitted crossbow hunting for hunters over age 65 during archery seasons."

That sux.

He also rejected wearing orange or pink for bear hunting

In the original regs that were posted, that requirement was included, but now I see it’s gone. Maybe that’s why the regs weren’t available online for a while today.

The link to CR-102 is on this page: https://wdfw.wa.gov/about/regulations/development/2024-2026-season-setting

All the changes proposed in CR-102 were accepted, except orange/pink for bear and cougar outside of other modern firearm seasons, and allowing crossbows during archery season for 65+. Mostly shifting around tag allocations, especially for Blue Mt elk and eastside does. The Simcoe deer area was eliminated. I don't recall what else, and I don't feel like reading it again.  :chuckle:
