The subjects says it all. If you've been waiting for new Exo, call the guys. I'm assuming they can send a pre-order link. All the folks on the K3 early access list got the link this morning.

I would love to have the larger frame, but I'll probably wait at least until there are reviews out.  I know at 6'4" I am larger than the K2 frame, but it seems to work OK and probably not worth the added cost.  I remember backpacking and mountaineering for decades not knowing what model year pack I had, this seems to be a crazy trend.

Honestly, this is my first foray into the high end pack world, and will likely be my last/2nd to last. I've had traditional backpacking packs last 20 years. I don't see any reason why these high end packs, built out of the materials they are using shouldn't do the same. At $650 these things don't really fall into the planned obsolescence category and dropping that kind of $$ every couple years seems crazy to me.

I'm still waiting to get into the high-end pack world. I've been using my military Ruck Sack that I kept. The thing is huge and the frame is nice and sturdy! Also, I'm super cheap, so until I pop a disk from ruckin an Elk with that thing, I will wait to spend money on a pack  :chuckle:

They're good packs and expensive for sure, but also nice and lightweight. If you're going to pack in for at least one overnight, they're worth looking into. If you're just doing day trips and not going far from your truck, don't bother.

linxx77, I'm sending you a PM in a bit.  Being prior military, I have a way you can save some serious bucks on some outdoor gear.  RJ
