The Old Dogs into the Watermelon Wine again
« on: March 02, 2021, 12:49:18 PM »
Here's your chance to try again making that Homemade Watermelon Wine (without all the mess.) Today, Grocery Outlet Store is selling 11.16 FL OZ of 100% Watermelon Juice for only .50 cents each.
So with 25.36 ounces in a 750 ml bottle and with a little sugar added, that's making it for less than $1.00 a bottle.
Watermelon Wine is a wine that is best made sweet. Dry watermelon wine... doesn’t really taste like much of anything. But at that price it might be worth trying to make it Sweet, one more time!

Sounds delicious. But the sugar,... :bash:

Brings back found memories of growing up in Arkansas and going to the melon festivals.

Thanks for the heads up!  Last spring I made my first batch of dandelion wine from my Great Grandmother's recipe and it turned out fantastic!  Since then I've done huckleberry and blackberry, but I'm still waiting a few months on those.

You need to be closer to Moses Lake if you are making dandelion wine.  Haven't had that for over 50 years now.

Chesterdog, Those are some good looking Brews, I especially like the looks of that Dandelion.
Back in the day, Mom and Dad used to make a Great "Tomato" Wine.
