Pricing a used kayak?
« on: February 15, 2022, 10:46:24 AM »
Thinking about selling my slightly used Wilderness Systems Commander 120 Angler kayak here in about 3 weeks and I can't figure out a good price for it. It's no longer in production, and I dont know of any good sources on the web? any help?

List it for what you paid for it.  If it's like the used car market you should have no trouble.

30% off purchase price and put OBO, if you get an offer you can live with but aren't real happy about, you've found the right price  :chuckle:

Good point. Due to supply chain shortages, pretty much everything is commanding a premium.

At the recent boat show, fishing kayaks were crazy expensive. Everybody is out of stock, taking orders for Late summer / fall deliveries. Good used boats are selling for 80-120% of original price. YMMV, but it’s a sellers market.

Thanks! Thats good to know. I missed out on the Seattle and Portland boat shows due to being stuck in Qatar.

Surprised you didn't take it with you. Gotta be tons of lakes and rivers there to hit

I tried, but the checked baggage fee was horrendous. I'm only 45 minutes from the coast :(

Back in 2 weeks!
