Does anyone hunt gmu 162 archery at all?

I was checking the harvest reports and there were 0 elk taken in 2006, 1 cow in 05, and 1 spike in 04. (The 07 report isn't out yet)

I also noticed the number of hunters declining from 04-06. Is this area pretty bad for archery elk hunting?

I've hunted rifle over there before and know there's lots of hunters during the rifle season.

And I noticed that elk area 1010 is within gmu 162 and it has antlerless. So does it mean that I can shoot a cow cause in 05 report, a cow was taken? I looked in the area description for elk area 1010 and it said gmu 162 excluding national forest land and the rainwater wildlife area.

Also is 1011 and 1012 altogether 1010?

So after all that said, is it that hard to get close in on the elk(cow or spike) to fling an arrow at them?

Sorry for all the questions but if anyone can clarify what I've asked, I would greatly appreciate it.

Pretty crappy unit, its all private and you hardly ever see elk or deer, just mostly coyotes and magpies.
If you aint hunting, you aint livin'

Don't forget the Indians... They have thrashed the elk herd down there in the past few years.  between them and the bears there's not much left.
hey, where's Professor Chaos? Anyone seen him?

Huh, that's funny. Like I've said, I've hunted their rifle season before and see elk every year but just haven't tried during the bow season yet.

don't waste your time

I guess I'll just have to waste gas and time to scout it out then.
