"The Grey" I finally watched it
« on: July 23, 2012, 10:03:31 PM »
No doubt a lot of hollywood but it kept me interested throughout the movie. It was refreshing to see a show that didn't make wolves out as "fluffy frolicing puppies".  :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:

I agree when I rented it I was expecting something a little more on the dosile side especially given most of the people in Hollywood have little, or no understanding on how nature works.  Overall a pretty good pic though quite depressing.

I hated the ending too, until I watched it again and watched the end of the credits, it was a little better... I disagree with most people though, I loved that movie A list in my opinion

I liked the movie and appreciated the fact they showed how wolves study their prey before attacking and their ruthlessness, some people may realize how a herd of elk in wolf country must live, but I didn't like the ending, I was hoping it ended somehow differently, you do need to see the last bit after the credits.

My son has had wolves following him and his dogs for a couple miles while walking out after dark in Idaho, he said he could see their eyes with his flashlight in the dark, just like in the movie, scared the hell out of him and the dogs. :twocents:

My daddy always taught me to watch the movie through the end of the credits.. shoulda listened to him  :bash:

I watched the Youtube video you posted. Its been a while since I watched the movie. I know he squares off with the big bad wolf but I can't figure out what that video is showing. The wolf wins? Or is it sitting there, bleeding to death? :dunno:

that's the question... after getting the dvd tried to look up if the director ever said which and nope, he did say the producers changed the poem to live and die on this day, it was originally live or day on this day

It was way, way, way too unrealistic for me. I know Hollywood etc but I was expecting it to be a bit more realistic.

That movie was soooo fake and unrealistic. Wolves are much more nicer and cuddly than hollywood makes them out to be.  :chuckle:
I am kinda pissed that I didnt watch it to the credits. Does it really make the ending not as crappy??????

I expected a better movie out of liam Neeson, after watching "Taken" i thought this movie would be a good watch too.  Iw ould have been better if the developed the wolf pack a little more.  Grade: C-

Horrible movie.  I almost turned it off after he shoots the wolf going after the workers.  So unrealistic reminded me of snakes on a plane.

I agree, thought the movie was great and liked that they didn't portray them as a wild animal that could be tamed to become your cuddly "man's best friend", like so many other movies.  But now I gotta go back and watch thru the credits on a screen bigger than my monitor  :)
