Ebey island
« on: August 27, 2008, 11:01:09 AM »
I was wondering if anyone knows how to get a boat into ebey river.
there is a river that butts right up to the ebey island hunting area and i have seen boats in the river next to it but cant figure out how to launch a boat there.
any thoughts?

You mean Ebey Slough North of Everett?  There are two launches on the Snohomish River, 10th street and at the park on Smith Island.  There is also a new launch in Marysville, not sure where but it would have to be nearby.

the launch in marysville is behind the marysville "mall" where gotschalks and payless shoes is. if you get off on the fourth  street exit in marysville and turn south on state street its on the right just pass staples. its a free launch too last time i checked. its real nice. just make sure if you have a sizable boat that the tide is up a descent amount.

you can google maps sattelite image it and see where the sloughs connect in there. its a maze.

If you are looking to shoot some ducks of Spencer Island there are a lot of birds in there.  But it’s right next to the sewer treatment ponds so I’m not sure how they would taste.  :yike:   :puke:
