Interesting day resetting my muskrat colony traps. I feel along the egdes of the creeks for the holes leading to their dens. Once I find a depression I reach as far as I can in to see if the holes turn upward. If they do I then cram a cage in the hole. Well today in two different holes rats attacked my hand while stuffed up in there! I'm here to tell you it was a little creepy. However, I carpet bombed the area with cages and can't wait to check them in two days!

That's awesome!  I think you have proved if done right cage traps can be productive. I may have to get into trapping again.

I bet it would be a slam dunk to find the exit hole on a beaver lodge but there ain't no way I'm "noodling" for beaver! :chuckle:
