I had trouble accepting this, until I read a few posts.  May God comfort his family, and his other family here on HW.  Dale could we have a memorial banner across the mast head?

I don't know how to feel. I didn't know him...only read his posts and I'm extremly saddened. A banner would be awesome.

Just ran that up the flagpole with the boss.

I will be up in the Colockum over Memorial day weekend. I would like to plant a tree, place a flag and set a stone in his honor out in the middle of the plateau where the Elk Herd hangs out & I sit. He was supposed to come up to my camp one of these days, I thank you ColockumElk (Aaron) for your service and our ultimate sacrifice for all of us.
I will talk to you up in the fields my friend....

Its a great idea but I wouldn't know what to do with it all if we didn't raise enough.  Also there is know way I could dedicate enough time to honor the tag.  I'll get a otc tag and go climb a mountain somewhere.  Get it done just like we always did together.  The hard way.  Thank you though, I really mean that.  Thank you everyone.  I tried to pull some pictures off his facebook page but it was just too hard!  Anyone is more than welcome to post some pics up from his facebook.  Everyone should see his face.
It is foolish and wrong to mourn these men.  Rather, we should thank god that such men lived.  -General George S. Patton

It is great to see the overwhelming support from the hunt-wa members. For those who never met Aaron, but read his stories, he was just like you would imagine him. An extremely hyper active, funny, hardcore hunter and a great guy to hang out with. Also as you could imagine. His stories were even better in person. He was one hell of a story teller. Never a dull moment when he was around. I will cherish the memories in the field with you Aaron. Thank you for your sacrafice.  May god be with you and your family.

BLRMan,
I attended a Colockum elk forum with Aaron a few years back (4-5) and we sat together and he spoke with a great passion for our state's elk herds. Afterwards we shared a beer or 2 together and BS'd about many different things. I'm sincerely sorry for your loss and I will miss reading his posts.  He was a great man.  He always had a passion for flying and serving his country... I will miss him. Again if there's anything you need let me/us know.

This sucks....

Mike
