I know we dont have details yet, but I was wondering how many members on here will be wearing a uniform to Aaron's funeral?  I am thinking of breaking out my Blues , I retired over a year ago!  Hope they fit!

I know absolutely that mine won't fit.  20 years is a long time.

Friends,

I don't think that I have ever seen a post go to nearly 12,000 views in such a short time.  This is truly amazing, and humbling at the same time.

Would somebody (in the know) please post up the details of the local memorial service, in a separate post?  The tributes to the fallen hero are so numerous, I am afraid that I will miss the details of the ceremony.

Either I or Karl will definitely post that. We talked about it today. Nothing solid set up yet.

Like many others I only knew Aaron as Colockumelk but I could see from his posts that he was a stand up guy.  I also realized what a truly amazing person he was by reading through this thread and seeing all of the love and respect shown.  I would die a happy man knowing that i was half the man Colockumelk was.

I just got done reading all this. I had no clue. I hadn't check on the campfire or elk forum for a while. How very sad. What a hero. I am thinking about his family at this moment. I remember reading a lot of his posts and all the fun banter back and forth among members. You will be missed by all and thank you so much for all you did for this great nation.

I just received the news, I didn't know aaron but followed along some of his post and letters.  My prayers go out to his family and I only hope my kids have some of the courage and intellect he carried.  Ill miss your insight and motivation.
