Noob hunter

Last year I got my hunter's education and tomorrow I'm picking up my first big game rifle. I have another 22 and two pistols. I grew up in Hawaii where there's very limited hunting so I'm out on a late start. Wondering if anyone here on the West side (or east side if the trip isn't too far, would like to take in an "apprentice".

I'm young, fit, love hiking, decent at shooting i think for being self taught, and would really like to learn from experienced hunters. I'm a big advocate of staying close to your food source so I garden, fish, all that stuff. I'm kind of a foodie.

I can even go out on a hunt just to assist and scout if that's a first-trip requirement.  I don't intend to slow anyone down, just wanna learn.

I'm primarily looking into elk, deer, maybe smaller guys like rabbits, coyotes, etc. I have no interest in eating a bear or cougar but wouldn't mind getting one before it gets me!

thanks
