One more pecker bone to the collection
« on: August 20, 2007, 10:20:55 AM »
These are some horrible pics of one of the nicest bears I taken, The kids had gotten my camera out of my pack to look at some pictures and I didn't realize this this until it was to late. I usually never have my cell with me when I'm hunting, but I'm glad  I  did this time, Pictures are horrible, But at least I got some I guess. The only real measurement  I can give you is the skull, I thought for sure I had B&C award coming my way with a 20 incher, He fell a little short, and its hard to stretch bone. He was 12 x 7 6/8. This is my first brown phase bear I've taken and one of very few I have seen, black is definitely  dominate on the west side.  The bears really seem to be out this year I think that 3 days of rain we got in late July kept the berries from burning up in the clear cuts.

Remington 700 in 7mag,,   Been slobering  all over myself  every  time i go into that sportsmans warehouse over that rem. 700 stainless fluted 300wsm with the oil finished cdl stock not sure i can fight off the urge much longer considering all remington 700's are 50 dollers off till the end of the year, a mail in rebate that won't even cover the tax.

A nice toy that everyone needs indeed. I've been eyeballing those browning a-bolts. I'd sure like to get one in .25-06 or .243 for Christmas.

Good looking bear, congrats.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.
