I'll keep brainstormin, sounds like you are well on your way.

Tshirt design......camo?    emblem.....any graphic design gurus on here willing to hook up with BLR to brainstorm an emblem.  Smossys girl has talent, backwoods boy, though I haven't seen him as of late.

What are your thoughts of what you want included?   Do you want to include Fire and PD,  Do you want local connection as this is annual in Selah.  Do you want northwest flavor with elk and your brother?   What is the best way to represent fallen heroes? Flag?
Anyone and everyone who wants to be involved is more than welcome!  I was thinking back to Aaron's funeral and how Yakima fire department had the giant flag between the ladder trucks and thought that that would be a cool thing to do.  They are definitely on my contact list.  The problem with the shirts is trying to keep the cost down.  The less money I spend on stuff the more money goes to the cause.  Color T's cost more money than white T's so I will have to go with white cotton and probably one screen print on the front as they charge by print.  I will take some pics of the shirt I got for the run in Portland and also the shirts that I designed and purchased for "Team Aaron" that ran with me in Portland.

when i was in the army 11B (light) 9th INF /2/9 MANCHUS, we use to do a sound to narrows run, we did it as a batalion so that equals alot of troops, we did it formation to cadence, with guidons and everything, it was very impressive to the civilian folks and of course the kids on the sides of the roads, i dont know who you would contact at ft lewis, but i do know there is someone to contact and tell them what your doing who its for and everything, alot of times they will send a company or more to participate in stuff like this, it is a very HONORABLE deal your putting on for your BRO, very awesome indeed and for a GREAT CAUSE
I will be contacting Ft. Lewis and making contacts here locally at YTC as soon as the website is up and running.  I want people to be able to google it so they know its legit and not just some guy trying to beg for stuff :chuckle:

This is the shirt I designed.  Its poly pro in desert tan.  With the flag, front logo, and back they were $18 bucks.  I think for cotton they were $14.

Since it isn't just about Aaron but about all our warriors, fallen and still standing, I don't want to add the elk or hunting into it but just make it more generic.  I was thinking though that we could do a special run of T's for Huntwa members in camo or something like that.  Add the elk head or something custom.

Can we just buy shirts if we know we won't make the run?

We can work something out   Not gonna say no to money :chuckle:
The USO is currently saving money to rebuild the USO hub at Seatac.  The one they currently have is outside the terminal so in order for our military to use it they must go in and out of security and we all know what a pain in the behind that is.  The new one will be inside the terminal and much more easily accessed by our men and women in uniform!  All money raised will go to a very good cause!  We will split it evenly between USO and Fisher House.

Put me down for two 2X cotton shirts and tell me where to send money. No pay pal for me.

Sounds good!  shoot me a pm with your mailing address so I don't forget or lose this in the shuffle.  Shirts are a ways out so I don't want to drop the ball on ya!  Thank you!  Once again the huntwa community is stepping up to the plate and knocking it out of the park!

With the shirt design.. you said one sided screen print, black/gray, no color? Cost is a factor. I've kinda been playing with a design but no idea if I'm going in the right direction. I'm not real good with this area of design and I'm sure you'll get tons of offers to make something up for you. I'll post up my work in progress and you can let me know if this is something you're interested in before I spend too much time dinking around with it.  :dunno:

The problem with the shirts is trying to keep the cost down.  The less money I spend on stuff the more money goes to the cause.  Color T's cost more money than white T's so I will have to go with white cotton and probably one screen print on the front as they charge by print.
