Can I set my deer hunting compound bow up for bowfishing it is a 65 pound pull

It can be done but I wouldn't recommend trying to use the same bow for hunting and fishing.  You would want to set it up for fishing or hunting and use it just for that.  It would take a reel and a rest and if it was mine, I would turn the bow down if possible as you don't need 65# for fishing although, it will work as is just fine. It just would get tiring if the shooting is good.  The AMS reels are my favorite but also higher priced than some other options.

Yes you can :) all it needs is a reel, rest, and an arrow. An AMS Retreiver OSA great ace to start, with a Quick Draw rest. 65lbs is a little heavy. We shot 61 for daytime shooting.

Any bow will work for sure. Anything over 50 really is not needed but sometimes the higher weights can be useful in deep shooting. Set it up and go shooting :IBCOOL:

I use an old Bear that is maybe 30lbs equipped with the AMS reel.
