This is the Colville Fish Hatchery that WFW is leasing and operating.

We need any type of donation to help raise funds at the bingo and fundraising auction. If anyone can donate a salmon fishing trip or any other item for the auction this will help feed the fish. The instructor and student expenses are covered by Newtech Skill Center and some hatchery expenses are reimbursed by an ALEA grant, but there are other expenses we must pay and our only method has been with donations at this early point in the Hatchery Program.

This is an important fundraiser as the hatchery is dependent on donations. The first batch of fish sold will be used for making the fish hatchery payment to WDFW per the purchase/lease agreement we made last summer with Stevens County and WDFW.

I attached a couple photos of the fish at the hatchery being raised by high school students from the Kettle Falls and Colville area in our student fisheries science learning program. Also a few pictures of the students learning in the hatchery.

We have one tank with 23,000 fish 5 to 6 inches. We have two more tanks with about 126,000 younger fish. We are exploring ideas to expand the hatchery capacity so that we can raise several thousand larger fish while maintaining our regular fish production.

I'm not having much success getting donations.

Please, if anyone has any item laying around they could send via postal mail or if someone would be willing to take someone fishing or clamming or anything else, please let me know. We could use items or trips to auction at our fundraiser.

Every item that we get for the auction will help us with expenses at the hatchery during this critical first two years. Please feel free to offer anything that might bring a few dollars at our auction fundraiser.

Small cash donations are also greatly appreciated. If only 100 people donated $10 that would be $1000 to help feed the fish and pay the electric bill for another month.

Now is a critical time, we are relying heavily on donations to keep the hatchery going for another year. All the fish we send out the door this spring will go towards paying WDFW and Stevens County for purchase/lease of the hatchery.

Next year we should begin having extra fish to sell beyond what we must pay for the hatchery purchase/lease. But for now we need any donations to help keep the hatchery program going.

THANKS MUCH FOR ANY CONTRIBUTION

Is there a Pay Pal account, or an address we can send $ to?
