No long actions but a whole host of others. .243 .260. etc etc etc.

Check out this website. You won't believe what cals you can get. 25 wssm would be pretty close to the 25-06.

.17 Remington
.17/.223      (I stock 1:9 twist in the .17 cal.)
.20 Tactical  (I stock 1:9, 1:10 and 1:12 twist in the .20 cal.)
.204 Ruger
6 x 45 (6mm/.223) (I stock 1:10 and 1:8 in 6mm)
6.8 SPC
6.5/.243 WSSM Note: the WSSM uppers are not priced the same as the rest of the "alternate calibers"
.300 Fireball
.260 Remington*
.243 Winchester*
7mm 08*
.308 Winchester*
.338 Federal**
25 wssm
7 wssm
And thats not all.

I'm new to the game, but the AR15 are the short action, and the AR10 are longer action. They don't interchange.

I got the 243wssm for my Remmy R15. I'm very impressed with it.

With the .243 and other larger cases you are moving into a AR10 which is a heavier and less quick access or availablity of parts, With the WSSM cases you still get the AR15 but with reduced magazine capacity and possible feeding problems because of the sharp shoulder. Just a FYI be sure and research what cartridges are available in the AR15 and AR10.

I got my 243wssm upper 2nd hand, but it was brand new and built by Dtech. I've only shot it about 20 rounds, but 2's and 3's at a loading, and only had one feeding malfunction, which was my own fault because of a slow bolt close on the only round in the mag.

I'm really impressed with the Dtech upper, and the 243wssm ballistics.
