Lewis County between Vanson Peak and Strawberry mountain. Get as far in from the roads as you can. Tough spot to hunt, but there are some really nice blacktails in the windfalls and thick brush. The thicker the better. It is really good if there is some snow in there for the late hunt, but it's work.
There is no greater respect to have for wildlife than to harvest an animal fairly and use it's flesh to feed your family.  ~me

My three options would be go high early in September, find something west of the crest, heck you might even catch a big mule deer west of the boundary this time of year.  That early November period in the heart of blacktail country, or late in the Klickitat area.  What a great problem to have.  Congrats on the draw.

I'd hunt Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties all the way through November and December if needed.  Use September and October for scouting or other hunts.  Don't be surprised if you don't see much before November. Buy some good rain gear and plan to use the heck out of it. Don't worry about being up high later in the season, but for a early benchleg it would be a good plan. Have your husband hold your bullets, seriously. Lots of patients and a few really tough calls should be expected. Hunt extra hard in the wind and rain and stay positive if the fog fouls you up. Pray for snow! Good luck.
