RIP Boyd Iverson
« on: October 27, 2015, 09:49:30 AM »
Boyd Alban Iverson

1949 - 2015

Boyd Iverson, 66, of Eugene, OR passed away October 11, 2015. Boyd was born January 21, 1949 in Altadena, California to Vernon Iverson and Margaret (Roberts) Iverson. He graduated from University of Oregon where he received his associate's degree in business. Boyd married Judy (Carlson) Iverson on December 4th, 1976 in Eugene, OR. Boyd was an extremely hard worker with a huge heart. He had a hard time relaxing, always needing to be moving around or brainstorming ideas with his son for the next potential construction project they'd want to try. A local home builder, realtor and developer involved in all aspects of the process for 40 years. He built his business on integrity, honesty and relentless hard work to provide the best customer service possible. Even though he was a very successful, self-driven businessman, he was most comfortable in the outdoors and with his passion of hunting, specifically black tail deer, having written numerous articles and 2 books on how to hunt them. More recently, he did everything he could with his 3 grandchildren, including fishing, hunting, hiking, jewelry making, reading books and telling stories they loved. He loved jewelry making and created many pieces over the years. He also, enjoyed music, mostly gospel, bluegrass, and country music. Everyone knew him as completely selfless, stoic and a Godly man, hoping that his life would be an example for others, and lead them to God. Always trying to help everyone, in any way he could. Boyd was affiliated with NAHB, NRA, OHA, and NAR. He is survived by his wife Judy Iverson, Eugene, OR; son Jordan Iverson (wife Shelly Iverson), Eugene, OR; (3) grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor and Rayana. Boyd is preceded in death by his dad Vernon Iverson. Celebration of Life will be held 3:00PM Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Eugene, Oregon. Arrangements made by Sunset Hills Funeral Home.

My first read of his book I bought through Amazon used. It was a signed copy even. Love reading that book over and over.
