That is one sweet bird. Looks like it's crossed with a bronze breasted? Crazy coloring! How much did that thing weight?

Yeah it is a sweet bird. I was blown away with the colors on him. I am trying to it out. Only thing I can come up with is a Rio Merriam cross. Weighed about 18.5

My first turkey....called it in from 400 yards to with in 20 yds. 8" beard with 7/8" spurs. As you can see I was dressed for the event LOL. Heard it gobble while I was working on my shop....a few clucks and some churps was all it took  :IBCOOL:

I took my brother in law (he's 13) on his first hunt ever this year, youth spring turkey. He hammered this big Tom on the opener. 9 3/4" beard and 3/4" spurs.
They're gonna be where you find 'em

Lil Gringo's first turkey.  Was able to watch him come in from 300 yards, flew across draw and landed 30 yards from decoy.....and strutted right in.

I killed this turkey opening day of youth hunt, it was my very first turkey I have ever shot. It was very awesome I was with my buddy and the turkey came strutting right in just were we were hoping once it got close enough I was able to pull the trig.  8)

We hunted hard all day trying to fill my buddy's tag also. During the middle of the day there wasn't much action so we dozed off. In the evening the birds started coming into the field and we were in position. My dad called for about an hour and the birds were holding up out of range so my buddy belly crawled about fifty yards to get closer and he was able to put the hammer down. That was our first successful time hunting turkey, we are exited for next year
