After 10 years of fighting cancer finally took its toll. RIP Dad.
« on: September 20, 2016, 06:59:29 AM »
Back in 06 I shot I spike elk during early archery season and Dad was always that guy to throw a quarter on his back and say follow me I know the quickest way out of here.  When he only made it 100yds and was absolutely spent my brother and I knew something was wrong.  We got that bull and Dad out of the woods that day and got him to doctor (after elk season was over because he wasn't coming off the mountain).  After some rest doctors find out he has leukemia so he starts treatment asap.  In the next 10 years the cancer would come and go 3 or 4 time never being 100% in gone.  But this last time was different the cancer didn't seem to react to the treatments that had work in the past and do to complications my dad lost his fight with cancer Sunday night.  Ironically 10 years later during archery elk season.  RIP Dad

So sorry for your loss.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.
