My first deer
« on: October 23, 2016, 06:59:55 PM »
Thank you so much 365hunting (Brian) for letting me come shoot my first deer on your property! I had a lot of fun and was happy to have been able to get a doe. I worked hard to be able to go hunting this year and I was really excited when I found out you were going to let me go hunting on your property. I named her scar. I can't thank you enough for letting me come get my first deer, I talked about it the whole 3 hour drive home!
Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I can't hunt with the guys

Awesome first deer, you will be talking about that for quite a while.  I really love the saying in your avatar, that is fantastic.  You are obviously a very appreciative young lady, that will get you far in this world.

Thanks to 365 for giving her the opportunity.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I am mountain.dew's dad and I am so proud of her and her first deer. She has been my "hunting buddy" for the past 10 years but didn't start hunting herself until 2 years ago.  She has an amazing amount of patience for someone her age and is always up for going up the next hill just to see what is on the other side.

Huge thanks to Brian and his father for letting us hunt their property.  Great people that gave us an opportunity that we will never forget.  Guys like this are what make H-W such a unique place.

Congrats.
Hope you get more and more, not all people get to experience what you did.
You know your hunt went well when you had a shot that was unethical and you never took it, even if you never got your bull.
