Seeking an Archery Elk Camp to Join for 2017 Season
« on: December 29, 2016, 12:24:48 PM »
I didn't hunt this year because I got a new hip. Last year, my partner of 10 years had a debilitating stroke which has left him unable to hunt - hopefully we can get him in front of an elk on someone's property somewhere in the SW WA area.

I just turned 59 a week ago and am looking to join a camp for at least 10 days of the archery season. I have 7 points toward my multi-season elk, so I should get that this year. I haven't shot an elk in well over a decade and the drought is killing me. Hunting in GPNF isn't helping much, either. It would need to be a drive in camp and I'd likely have a rented pop up or a trailer behind my jeep. TVhunt was kind enough to give me a converter so I can run my CPAP off my car battery overnight - Thanks man. That was really generous!!!

I drink and smoke cigars. I cook my butt off and often, elk camp meals include truffles, wild mushrooms, caviar, and the like. Bourbon maple syrup is always there for pancake morning. Anyone have a camp where I'd be welcomed? I sure would like to join some of you guys in the woods. I think it would be a kick! Thanks!

Wow you would make a great Camp Fraulein!  I'd love to hunt with you but I think I'm gona do some back country stuff next year.  They need some more clear cutting in the Sixion& Wind river units!
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Same with me. You make me want to switch to archery, get a group together and invite you in just for the fine camp food cuisine experience

PMan, curious if you're interested in an out of state hunt?  That may open some additional doors for you buddy  ;)

I can't justify the expense - I sure wish I could. Because my wife can't work, we're not even saving money. Not complaining. We just need to prioritize.

If I can pull a MS tag I might be interested.  See you Saturday hopefully.  I'm good at any drive in camp that I can dig a privy hole.
