Painting the raised Ford letters was the fun part

A little tricky but easy to do. And it is paint. Not decals.

I used to but I'm a bit too old to keep doing this stuff.
Can I still do it? Sure I can - but I'm in too much pain to keep it up and reading glasses make it a challenge.
I was overworked when very young. I am quite talented at this kind of work but I'm exhausted at doing it. On my 9th birthday, I was given a new shovel by my evil stepdad. I thought it was the best gift ever because he had me digging at every waking hour. No young man these days can imagine what I went through.
My mother's current husband has a big list of vehicles he wants me to restore. If I could quit my current job and restore them for him, I would consider it. He is nicer than what I had to deal with when growing up but it doesn't matter. I have limited ability to do this work now. Fishing for walleye and crappie is much easier!
I've painted many candies and I've put many vehicles in shows over the past 4+ decades in several states.  All of them have one have won numerous tropies (which I don't pat myself on the back for). It is nothing for me to paint a candy color.
It just doesn't matter to me now.

Mother in-law decided to finally sell the 69 Camaro that’s been sitting in the shop since the late 90’s. She got it running last year, drove it for a week and parked it again. It’s going to it’s new home next week(my house). Going to clean her up and drive it this summer and start the refurb this winter. Needs a bit of body work and fresh paint, interior freshened up, and a solid tuneup/adjustment.
Thinking a cruise up north for our anniversary next weekend is in order!

Cool! This thread is reviving like old cars.
My mother and her husband entered the Mustang in their first car show recently.
They got their first trophy too.
They are quite happy.

:yeah:
And "rally sport" on the fender.

I have a fake RS/SS 68 camaro and a fake SS convertible 67 chevelle so this one could be fake but I am guessing it is a real one.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

Ahhhh, wing windows, I miss em. I have a 69 Camaro and a 65 Chevelle, both in pieces.

The hot rod diesel truck I posted about previously is on the road now. I actually drove it to work for the first time today! I'll try to update with some pics when I get tapatalk working again.
