I got it through my insurance agent. Don't know enough to say it was a good or bad deal. Cost ran to a little over a $1000/year. Never had to submit a claim.

Ouch, quite a few guys in other states pay around $600ish a year.  Thanks!

You'd think it would be cheaper since you can't have exposed connibears.

I should add because of a job I was doing I was required to have $2,00,000 coverage.

I have tried several well known insurance companies including State Farm, which carries my personal policies, without much success. It isn't something they encounter enough nor do any of underwriters know anything about this type of work. I have had to turn down jobs because of the lack of insurance, usually government jobs. My frustration got the best of me and I quit looking.

I use to carry $million in my business.  It was a great policy everything a WCO needs.
The down fall is you couldn't get it through the Insurance company unless you were a member of "NWCOA" and I believe it is still that way.
So if you want something that covers everything including Bear and Alligators and shooting this is the place to go to.
NWCOA = "National Wildlife Control Operators Association"
Membership I don't know what it is up to these days I'm thinking around $250.00 - $300.00 a year
Insurance I'm not sure about either but IU think I was spending around $800.00 a year for a Million dollar coverage.
