After the eastern turkey gods put my daughter's toy on my stairs as I walked down in the dark and fell and sprained  my ankle opening morning. To going down Friday in the blues to chase Rios'   for the weekend and having nice sunny warm skies with a godly amount of wind to where I did not hear a single gobble.  Then rain this morning.
I was able to call in 3 hens separately. Guess I know how to talk to the ladies, Lol.
Whoever said turkeys were stupid are stupid or maybe I am just the one that's stupid.
I sit to long, or not long enough  just to have them around the corner after I stand.
Frustrating stuff my friends , frustrating
If its brown knock it down

I have you beat by a long ways as the worst turkey hunter.
I have been hunting them 10 years I think. That = 100 days of turkey hunting.
I have called 50-60 hens in that time.
I called in a Tom 2 years ago on a string and missed him.
I called one in five years ago walked up to my chair from behind and gobbled in my ear than flew back across a creek.
I found a roost tree in Asotin with ten hens three Toms and got busted by a hen.
I located a Field they strutted in every night. Layed there behind a dirt mound for three hours. When my buddy got tired and walked over to me as the Toms glided in from behind us busted.
I hunted turkey all day in Asotin only to. Back to camp and have one gobble when  I shut. The truck door.

I called a Tomin last year in Twisp of all places to my blind side got busted.

I could go on.

This year my buddy killed two Tom with one shot.

You are not the worst turkey hunter.

Wow. I rolled my ankle hard the week before this, I can't hardly walk and had to make my fiance carry the pack, set decoys, while I tried hard not to use my shotgun as a walking stick. Sorry to hear that buddy. We didn't get anything either!

I don't think turkeys are stupid, but I don't think they are smart. Use to hunt the hell out of them. Yesterday I was cleaning up on my property near Chewelah and 4 mature toms (one had a giant double beard) and two hens walk right past me within 30 yards of me burning a pile. I let them walk now :)

Funny stuff ghosthunter
We must reject the idea that every time a law's broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his actions.
