Folks mind posting some pictures of examples? Just got notice from my tannery that the hide is ready, so it's time to pick a taxi.

Thanks!

Zach at rainier taxidermy is good, picking up my rug in a couple weeks!

So I contacted them and asked to see photos of example work. Guy bluntly said he doesn't do that. I then asked if there were references I could call to get an idea of what kind of work they do. Guy said he's been in business 38 years and doesn't need references "or any of that crap." I told him that I had no doubt they do quality work but that references were important to me because one person's taste can be different than another's (while both can be quality).

Guy was a TOTAL DICK and told me go search the web. Frankly, I don't care if Rainier Taxidermy does the best bear rugs in the world, I would never send anyone to them if this guy represents how they do business.

How about..... umm.... what's her name again??? :chuckle:
MNT...I hear you have plenty of time to save up the cash to pay for your mount.  :yike:  :sry:

On a more serious note, my buddy’s rug from Alden looks really nice.

Any idea what it might cost to turn a pelt into a rug?

Ducky, his attitude is why me and many others have left after years of him doing our work. And the work today is not what it was 20 years ago, it was stellar back when. Jeff Reeves gets my nod. Ready for SPRINGERS.

Well with an attitude like that I wouldn't give him the time of day!!

I'll give Jeff a call. As for springers, I'm 2/3 in two trips so far...
