I hate thieves
« on: May 02, 2017, 04:10:07 PM »
I work from home so I'm gone infrequently. I went to lunch with a friend today. Gone 1.5 hrs came back and back door was kicked in. Here's what is missing so far.

Weatherby Lasermark 7mm with Leopuld Vx2 3x9. Gloss finish has been removed and an redone in oil finish. Mint condition
Winchester Mod 70 XTR .270 with burris 3x9 scope. Mint condition
Older Benelli Super Black Eagle with the wetland camo. used some of the camo worn off.
Older Benelli M90 20 ga. black excellent condition.
Winchester Ranger 120 12 ga.
Winchester Ranger 120 20 ga.
Thompson Center Black Diamond .50 cal muzzle loader.

I left my carry 9mm on my office desk in open sight and they didn't get that or my Smith mod 49 on the night stand. They didn't take laptops, tv's or jewelry--jewelry that we know of.

It really takes your breath away to be broken into. This occurred in Yakima. Please let me know if any of these hits your radar.

Sucks... similar thing happened to a buddy in Moses Lake.

Sorry this happened to you and I'll bet good money it's some one in line of site of your house or driveway.
This is a reminder to do a few things pre emptively that people are doing after the fact. Take pictures of your valuables with serial # and such. If your on FB join a local watch site or make one. Take pictures of everyone fishy out there. Install some kind of video/trail cam on your property/home.  Make sure your safe is bolted to the concrete.

My father in law made me a custom seven gun oak cabinet many years ago. Had it in the most remote room in the house. They missed my ccw weapon in its holster on my desk in plain sight. Officer thinks it's someone who had been here before.

. That's highly likely. Brother in law was robbed 2 years ago of all 15 of his guns and 12 of his sons. Was an ex boyfriend of his daughter. Guns never showed back up and the kid got a slap on the wrist ( minor )

I'll keep eyes and ears open.

My stolen wallet was found by an old lady over by Davis today. Its been gonw since last july. The *censored*s too my debit card state dl, and insurance cards, but left the government licenses. Imagine that :chuckle:.

They got nothing out of stealing behind my back. Haven't had my identity stolen yet.

I think I actually ran into them that afternoon after I was done with the officer. I went to all the houses and apartments near my place and there were 3 guys in a silver car that were parked at the duplex next door. As I was approaching them one them came out to meet me and let me know why they were there.  I noticed he had on new shoes. While I didn't get to see the tread pattern they were new. There were shoe prints on my door and on the broken glass in front of my gun cabinet. I came back about an hour later and they were still there. They were sketchy. I went over to the neighbors today and spoke to them. Found out it was her younger brother who is 18. Got his name so Monday when the pd opens I'll talk to them. I'd really like to get the guns back. I also spoke to one of the kids who lives next door about 5 or 6 but old enough to know what long guns look like and he said they had put guns in their car. I told him if I get my guns back i'll give him a Benjamin.

Have that kid talk to pd.  Did you speak w the kid next door parents ?  Seems strange a kid wouldn't tell his parents he seen a boat load of long guns going in a car at the hands of another kid.
